Your new company

Hays is working with a Federal Government agency to source an experienced LIMS Software Developer for a major laboratory systems program.
You will support the configuration and development of a new Laboratory Information Management System used across national laboratories.

Your new role

• Configure and extend a commercial LIMS platform.

• Develop macros and custom functionality.

• Support requirements workshops with technical and lab stakeholders.

• Perform system testing and UAT support.

• Produce clear technical documentation.

• Support BAU enhancements and defect fixes.

• Assist with end‑user training and knowledge transfer.

What you'll need to succeed

• Hands‑on experience with LIMS or laboratory data systems.

• Experience working in regulated or scientific environments.

• Strong testing and documentation skills.

• Ability to work with developers, vendors, and laboratory SMEs.

• Clearance: Baseline required.
  
  Desirable
  

• Experience in analytical, chemical, or biological laboratories.

• Exposure to commercial LIMS platforms.

• Software development or scripting experience.

What you'll get in return

• Contract: 12 months with extension.

• Working arrangement: Hybrid.

• Location: Australia wide.
