You will contribute to the planning, delivery, and evaluation of community development programs aligned to strategic priorities. Working collaboratively, you will build partnerships, support community organisations, and assist with grants and funding initiatives.
Your new role
Key responsibilities include:
• Develop and deliver community development and wellbeing initiatives
• Build and maintain partnerships with community groups and service providers
• Support community capacity building and local identity
• Undertake community engagement and research to inform programs
• Identify funding opportunities and support grant applications and acquittals
• Assist with event development, public event applications, and major grants
• Promote community programs, events, and initiatives
• Provide advice on community development practices and trends
What you'll need to succeed
3–5 years’ experience in community development or a similar role
Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and networking skills
Ability to deliver programs and manage multiple initiatives
Experience working with community groups and funding bodies
Well-developed problem-solving and relationship management skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends
Relevant checks, licences, and certifications (or ability to obtain)
Local government experience is desirable
