This federal agency is delivering major transformation initiatives focused on optimising and enhancing their SAP environment to better support strategic and operational objectives. As part of this program of work, the agency is seeking an experienced Senior SAP HR Consultant to play a critical role in uplifting HR systems capability across SAP ECC 6.0.

Your new role

• Configure and support SAP PA, OM, Time Management, Payroll, and ESS/MSS.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and scalable ECC 6.0 solutions.
• Maintain HR master data structures, organisational hierarchies, and configuration settings.
• Develop documentation including configuration guides, test cases, and training materials.
• Support integration between SAP HR and other key systems such as payroll engines, rostering tools, finance systems, and identity management platforms.
• Coordinate defect resolution, perform root‑cause analysis, and lead testing activities (unit, integration, regression, UAT).
• Prepare and execute cutover, go‑live, and post‑implementation support activities.
• Facilitate workshops, deliver training, and support business readiness.
• Build strong working relationships with HR stakeholders, project teams, and senior leadership.
• Provide ongoing knowledge transfer to uplift in‑house capability.

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong experience in SAP HR/HCM, with strong ECC 6.0 project exposure.
• Hands-on configuration expertise across PA, OM, Time, Payroll, and ESS/MSS.
• Strong experience with Time Evaluation and maintaining pay conditions within schemas.
• Expertise in CATS (Cross‑Application Time Sheet).
• Proven experience delivering enhancements, upgrades, and support across HR modules.
• Demonstrated experience writing functional specifications and supporting testing cycles.
• Strong understanding of HR operations, related legislation, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or hybrid HR/SF environments.
• Knowledge of advanced payroll frameworks or Payroll Control Centre.
