Your new role

• Providing high‑level financial management advice to project directors and business units across capital programs and operating budgets

• Preparing financial correspondence, briefing papers and presentations for senior leaders

• Coordinating capital and operating budget estimates, including forward estimates, documentation and annual budget submissions

• Managing budget allocations and preparing cashflow projections for capital initiatives and operating portfolios

• Monitoring, analysing and reporting financial performance, identifying variations and recommending corrective actions

• Supporting procurement processes through financial assessment, pricing review, and evaluating financial implications of contracts

• Providing close‑out information for completed projects, including asset valuation inputs and reporting documentation

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong experience in financial management, budgeting, project costings and financial reporting

• Well‑developed communication skills with the ability to brief senior stakeholders and build effective working relationships

• Strong analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to investigate variances, trends and financial impacts

• Proven ability to apply contemporary public sector financial frameworks, including accounting standards and budget processes

• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within required timeframes

• Ability to provide guidance to team members and support collaborative, high‑performing work environments

• CA/CPA/IPA membership
