Purchasing Officer – Mining Client – Immediate Start – SAP Essential
A leading mining company with a strong presence in Western Australia is seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to join their procurement team on a long-term basis. Based in the Perth CBD, this role offers flexible working arrangements, including work from home options, and the chance to be part of a stable, high-performing organisation.

About the Role
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end purchasing activities, supporting site and corporate stakeholders to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant procurement of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders in SAP
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and site-based teams
  • Source goods and services in line with company procurement policies
  • Monitor order progress, deliveries, and resolve supply issues
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and pricing data
  • Support contract administration and supplier performance where required
  • Ensure compliance with safety, governance, and mining industry standards
About You
  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Officer or Procurement Administrator within the mining or resources sector
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP (mandatory)
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills
  • Australian work rights required
