Exciting Opportunity for Salesforce Tester to join our public Sector client based in Melbourne.



About the Role
The role is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of both automated and manual test scripts, as well as supporting testing frameworks and CI/CD processes. You will collaborate closely with project management, technology, and development teams to enable effective testing, automation, and quality assurance across Salesforce initiatives.



Responsibilities
  • Translate business and functional requirements into test strategies, plans, and detailed test cases to support early and effective quality assurance outcomes.
  • Deliver end-to-end testing activities, including test planning, execution, defect management, and test data preparation, ensuring alignment with project timelines and quality standards.
  • Undertake a range of testing activities, including system, integration, functional, regression, and user interface testing, to validate solutions against business requirements.
  • Monitor and report on testing progress, including coverage, risks, and outcomes, to support informed decision-making and governance requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with business stakeholders, business analysts, and delivery teams to assess defects, determine impacts, and support timely resolution.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts and regression packs using established frameworks, supporting continuous improvement in testing practices.
  • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including planning, stakeholder engagement, and validation of business outcomes.



Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in testing Salesforce applications, including Service Cloud, Lightning/Classic environments, and associated integrations (e.g. MuleSoft and connectors).
  • Experience in both manual and automated testing of Salesforce solutions, with the ability to support quality assurance across complex environments.
  • Proven capability in test planning, execution, defect management, and reporting within structured delivery frameworks.
  • Sound understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, including configuration and customisation features.
  • Working knowledge of Apex to support effective testing and validation of Salesforce functionality.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including Agile and DevOps practices and methodologies.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale system implementations and/or platform rollouts.
  • Proficiency in the use of tools such as Jira, Zephyr, and Confluence for test management, execution, and documentation in integrated delivery environments.
  • Experience testing web applications and services, including REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Experience developing or contributing to automated test scripts using established frameworks (e.g. Java).



Pay range and compensation package


Daily Rates- $600 to $700
