A maintenance company is looking for an experienced Service Manager to join their growing team in the Hills District.

Your new role

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the HVAC service department
  • Leading, supporting, and mentoring HVAC technicians and support staff
  • Overseeing scheduling, job allocation, and workflow to maximise efficiency
  • Monitoring job progress, quality of work, and completion timeframes
  • Acting as the primary technical and operational escalation point for the service team
  • Assisting technicians with complex fault-finding and technical decision-making when required
  • Handling escalated customer enquiries and resolving service issues professionally
  • Ensuring compliance with WHS requirements, company procedures, and HVAC industry standards
  • Reviewing performance, KPIs, and service reporting
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of service technicians
  • Identifying and implementing process, system, and efficiency improvements

What you'll need to succeed

  • A strong HVAC technical background, with trade qualifications highly regarded
  • Experience in a Service Manager, Supervisor, or Operations role within an HVAC or field services business
  • Excellent technical knowledge to guide, support, and mentor HVAC technicians
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • High-level organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Confidence managing schedules, priorities, and competing deadlines
  • Clear and professional communication skills with customers, technicians, and office staff
  • Experience using job management, scheduling, or field service software
  • A hands-on, accountable approach with a strong focus on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
