An exciting opportunity to support a major telecommunications organisation currently delivering a multi‑stream transformation program focused on modernising digital experiences and strengthening data capability to support a wider business transformation.

To support this program, we are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with deep telecommunications domain experience to lead the delivery of complex digital and data initiatives in a high‑visibility environment.


About the Role

The program is currently in discovery, centred around digital uplift, improving data quality and performance, and preparing the organisation for future AI‑aligned initiatives.

The role requires a highly structured and autonomous Project Manager who can confidently manage stakeholders, challenge vendors, drive delivery outcomes, and navigate an ambiguous transformation environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver digital and data-focused projects within a telco environment, managing end‑to‑end scope, timelines, cost, risk, and reporting
  • Manage and negotiate multiple vendor contracts, ensuring accountability and delivery performance
  • Work across large and complex data sets within BSS and digital customer platforms
  • Engage and align senior stakeholders across digital, data, enterprise, billing, CRM and BSS domains
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, governance artefacts, RAID logs, business cases, and schedules
  • Support discovery activities tied to AI readiness, data enhancement, and digital capability uplift
  • Provide accurate financial management including budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and commercial analysis


About You — Non‑Negotiable Essentials

  • Proven delivery experience within the telecommunications industry (mandatory)
  • Demonstrated success delivering digital projects within telco environments, such as BSS, billing, CRM or customer management platforms
  • Experience working with large data sets and digital ecosystems
  • Strong vendor management experience with the ability to challenge, negotiate, and drive contract performance
  • A highly effective communicator with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholder groups
  • Comfortable operating autonomously with minimal direction, thriving in ambiguous and evolving environments
  • Strong organisational discipline with a focus on delivery governance, documentation, and structure
