Your new role

You will lead external affairs, community and communications activity for a large integrated operation. Your work will strengthen relationships, support business priorities and deliver shared value for regional communities.
You will

• Deliver engagement strategies aligned to business goals.
• Build trusted relationships with Traditional Owners, community leaders, industry bodies and government.
• Oversee social performance, communications and community investment programs.
• Lead and coach a high performing team with a focus on inclusion, accountability and continuous improvement.

This position is full time, permanent and based at Collie. You will drive in and out daily (hybrid 2 days WFH), working a 9-day fortnight. Ideal candidates live within one hour of site.


What you'll need to succeed


• More than ten years experience in external affairs, communications or related fields within mining, resources or construction.
• Strong stakeholder management, including experience in complex environments.
• Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into simple messages.
• Proven leadership capability with sound judgement and an inclusive approach.
• Qualification in Social Performance, Communications, Public Relations or related discipline.
