Your new role

  • Lead and monitor daily operations to ensure safe, reliable and efficient performance of power assets, maintaining strong data integrity and supporting achievement of availability, reliability and safety KPIs.

  • Coordinate outage planning, risk assessment, resourcing and execution, followed by post‑outage reviews and implementation of corrective actions to reduce recurrence and improve asset reliability.

  • Manage regional OPEX budgets with strict cost control, escalates CAPEX requirements when needed, and ensures consistent contractor governance, mobilisation standards and performance oversight.

  • Oversee regulatory, safety and environmental compliance, ensures audit readiness, addresses findings promptly and proactively identifies emerging compliance risks.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, network operators and OEM partners to support smooth operational delivery and issue resolution.

  • Provide operational leadership across sites, ensuring appropriate staffing, rostering, training, emergency response readiness and long‑term workforce planning.

  • Support alignment of regional operations with broader organisational strategy to ensure decisions and initiatives contribute to long‑term business objectives.

  • Apply strong contract understanding to guide operational decision‑making, manage risk and meet contractual obligations effectively.

  • Contribute operational insight, risk assessment and cost analysis to tenders and commercial submissions to strengthen bid competitiveness.

  • Represent the organisation in client‑facing interactions, supporting discussions on service performance, expectations and commercial matters.

    What you'll need

  • Preferred – Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or equivalent), or a trade qualification supported by extensive power generation operational leadership experience.

  • Extensive experience in power station and maintenance.

  • Proven multi-site operational leadership experience.

  • Demonstrated capability in outage planning, contractor governance, and risk-based decision-making.

  • Proven experience in negotiation and management of contracts
