With ongoing growth, they are seeking a senior warehousing specialist to lead capability uplift, operational efficiency and best practice standards across the function.
Your new role
As Head of Warehousing, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across warehousing, logistics, inventory control and materials management. You will ensure all inbound, outbound and internal logistics activities support complex manufacturing, engineering and project requirements.
In the strategic leadership component of the role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a warehousing strategy that aligns with the organisation’s broader objectives. This includes ensuring that warehousing capability effectively supports low volume, high complexity manufacturing and engineering environments, while also driving continuous improvement across all systems, processes and physical infrastructure.
A strong focus on compliance and security is essential. You will ensure all warehousing practices meet WHS obligations, quality standards and export control legislation. This includes managing Defence related compliance requirements and ensuring the secure handling of controlled materials, as well as supporting both internal and external audits.
Within systems and technology, you will be responsible for driving optimisation of ERP/MRP systems to enhance data accuracy and operational performance. You will also play a key role in improving system integration across procurement, manufacturing and warehousing functions to support seamless operational workflows.
Leadership is a critical element of the role, requiring you to guide and develop a high‑performing team that operates with a strong focus on safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
What you'll need to succeed
Current NV1 Security Clearance
Experience working with the Department of Defence or in defence related environments
Extensive experience in manufacturing warehousing and high complexity operations
Strong knowledge of importing, exporting and controlled materials
Deep understanding of ERP/MRP systems, inventory governance and materials planning
Proven capability in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence across senior stakeholder groups
Demonstrated ability to manage risk, ensure compliance and maintain high safety standards
