Your new company

A large Victorian organisation is commencing a major finance transformation program and is seeking an experienced senior finance professional to support the delivery of a new enterprise resource planning environment. They require a hands on specialist who can immediately step into a program team and provide stability, structure and deep finance process insight during a period of significant change.

Your new role

• Working with finance and project stakeholders to document, refine and improve end to end finance process
• Reviewing and validating proposed system designs and configurations to ensure they meet real world finance needs
• Supporting conference room pilots, user acceptance testing and cutover readiness activities
• Identifying issues early, highlighting decision points, and ensuring clear escalation path
• Providing a stabilising presence by balancing business as usual requirements with project delivery demands

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful, you will bring extensive experience as a senior accountant, senior finance lead or similar level professional, with a proven background in supporting or delivering medium sized enterprise resource planning implementations. Experience with Oracle, Tech One or comparable enterprise platforms will be highly regarded.

• A Strong understanding of core finance processes including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, month end activities, delegations and financial control
• The ability to pragmatically challenge and improve finance process design within a project environment
• A willingness to operate in an evolving and sometimes ambiguous environment
• Comfort moving between business as usual support, project activity, issue resolution and decision preparation
• A focus on finance outcomes and usability rather than systems administration
