Your new company
You’ll be joining a major local government organisation responsible for digital customer transformation through the Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) initiative. CIAM is building a secure, enterprise‑wide identity platform that enables both individuals and organisations to seamlessly access Council services through a single, unified online account.
Your new role
As the Lead Systems Analyst / Technical Business Analyst, you will be responsible for driving end-to-end analysis across multiple CIAM workstreams. You will lead discovery, clarify business and technical requirements, and translate them into epics, user stories, and system artefacts. You’ll define integration and onboarding requirements for authentication, authorisation and data synchronisation, while supporting agile delivery squads with backlog management, sprint readiness, and solution validation. This role is highly influential and central to ensuring quality outcomes across the CIAM platform.
What you'll need to succeed
Extensive experience (7+ years) as a Systems Analyst or Technical Business Analyst in complex digital environments.
Strong systems integration experience including REST/JSON APIs, data synchronisation, and events.
Solid knowledge of Identity & Access Management standards (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, MFA, JWT).
Ability to interpret technical artefacts such as architecture diagrams, logs, and API contracts.
Strong stakeholder and facilitation skills with the ability to drive clarity and manage trade-offs.
Experience working within agile environments using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field
What you'll get in return
A 12‑month contract with a leading government organisation shaping major digital transformation.
Opportunity to work on a high‑impact identity platform used across Council services and customer channels.
A collaborative, supportive team environment with exposure to architects, engineers, and senior stakeholders.
A role that offers both strategic influence and hands-on technical analysis work.
Convenient Fortitude Valley location and flexible, modern working arrangements.
