We are partnering with a globally recognised engineering and manufacturing organisation to recruit an SCM Specialist to support end‑to‑end operational supply chain activities across Australia and New Zealand. This position plays a critical role in ensuring materials availability, stable supply performance, accurate inventory management, and effective data governance across a high‑performing supply chain function.
Your new role
Reporting to the Supply Chain & Operations Manager, you will be responsible for supporting materials planning, inventory control, procurement processes, logistics coordination, and master data accuracy. This role works closely with material planners, production teams, finance, customer service, suppliers, and freight partners to ensure smooth operational execution.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing and maintaining material master data, product lifecycle updates, and SAP data quality
Executing cycle counts, stocktakes, inventory adjustments, and reconciliation activities
Reviewing open purchase orders, supplier confirmations, lead times, and transit updates across AU/NZ
Investigating and clearing open goods receipt issues and liaising with Accounts Payable
Managing lost‑in‑transit cases, misrouted materials, and returns coordination
Coordinating with freight providers for import/export activities, quotes, and delivery resolutions
Supporting sales order updates, ETA communication, and urgent customer requirements
Assisting production and subcontracting activities, including BOM accuracy and kitting requirements
Supporting S&OP cycles, forecast reviews, and safety stock analysis
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, SOP development, and process governance projects
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring strong analytical capability, deep understanding of supply chain processes, and the ability to manage complex data flows.
You will ideally have:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Logistics
Strong SAP experience (MM, SD, PP modules)
Experience in inventory management, materials planning or supply planning
Strong Excel skills for data analysis and validation
Understanding of domestic/international freight processes
High attention to detail and strong master data management capability
Ability to understand complex intercompany, logistics, and planning processes
Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement ability
Desirable:
Experience within AU/NZ supply chain environments
Exposure to subcontracting, kitting, and BOM structures
Experience working with global freight providers
Experience supporting transformation or process improvement initiatives
