Hays Business Support are currently seeking a Site and Logistics Coordinator for a well-known Federal Government agency. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated project team involved in the Planning, Design and Construction phases of major infrastructure projects. This organisation undertakes scientific work of practical, economic, and national significance. The role will require full-time hours and will be offered as a temporary assignment for at least 6 months.
Your new role
Based in Kingston, you will support the Major Infrastructure Support Program (MISP) by coordinating the operational, logistical and site establishment components required across the project lifecycle. Working alongside the Design Lead and collaborating closely with Operations, Environmental and Construction teams, you will play a key role in ensuring site establishment and logistic planning is well integrated into project delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining logistics, operations and site management plans for complex and remote infrastructure projects.
- Assisting with site establishment planning, including construction sequencing, environmental considerations, off‑site manufacturing, procurement strategies and risk factors.
- Supporting the creation and upkeep of logistic management plans, schedules, reports and operational documentation.
- Contributing to Environmental and Site Management Plans through to practical implementation.
- Coordinating the movement of equipment, materials and people and assisting with related planning and administrative requirements.
- Working with a small, high‑performing team to meet tight project timeframes and adapt to evolving program needs.
- Providing general project support including logistics coordination, WHS considerations and risk management tasks.
- Liaising with technical stakeholders, senior executives and project leads with strong written and verbal communication.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have demonstrated experience in logistics, site establishment or operational support within infrastructure or construction projects, ideally including remote or complex environments. You will also bring:
- Strong organisational, coordination and communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a dynamic, multi‑disciplinary team.
- Experience preparing and maintaining logistics plans, schedules or reports.
- Sound judgement and the ability to respond to changing project demands.
- Experience developing productive stakeholder relationships.
- Proven ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Australian citizenship (mandatory for employment within this Government agency).
- Ability to obtain and pass a National Police Check.
