Your new role
The Business Process Analyst supports the department's data and digital initiatives by helping to map and document how front-end systems, screens and workflows relate to underlying back-end data and data models.
Accountabilities
- Analyse front-end systems (e.g. web portals, internal UIs, forms, workflow tools) and identify how fields and processes map to underlying databases and data models.
- Contribute to logical and conceptual process maps that describe entities, relationships and key business rules for department's insurance and risk products using BPMN 2.0 methodology (preferred)
- Create and maintain clear documentation (e.g. mapping documents, simple ER-style diagrams).
- Facilitate workshops and interviews with subject-matter experts to produce and subsequently validate process maps and data linkages. These maps will become key business artefacts and need to be fit for multipurpose use.

What you'll need to succeed
- Experience assisting with documenting business processes, ideally using tools such as Visio or similar.
- Participation in workshops or meetings where process flows are discussed and mapped out.
- Experience communicating with stakeholders to gather information, clarify requirements, or validate findings.
- Demonstrated ability to approach problems methodically, break down complex issues, and propose logical solutions.
- Involvement in collecting and documenting business requirements
- Familiarity with Agile project delivery.
- Tertiary qualification in business information systems or data and analytics or proven experience relative to the role.
