Contract – Senior Full Stack Engineer (.NET)

You’ll join a leading financial services organisation building large‑scale digital platforms that support millions of users. Their healthcare payments division delivers a modern, cloud‑enabled ecosystem used by merchants across the sector, combining web applications, smart terminals and backend services into a unified experience. The team works with distributed architectures, event‑driven patterns and high‑availability systems that power mission‑critical customer interactions.

Your new role
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you’ll contribute to the expansion of an established technology stack that underpins a smart health payments ecosystem used primarily by merchants. The role is roughly 60% backend‑focused, with significant responsibility for enhancing microservices, APIs, data layers and integration points that support high‑traffic, customer‑facing features.
You’ll also work across modern frontend interfaces built with Angular and React, ensuring seamless interactions between web portals, smart terminals and backend services. The position involves hands‑on coding, architectural input, and collaboration with other senior engineers as the platform continues to scale. You’ll also help uplift engineering capability by sharing knowledge and supporting junior developers.

What you’ll need to succeed
This team is looking for highly capable senior engineers with strong practical experience and the ability to work confidently across complex, domain‑heavy systems. You’ll bring:
  • Deep experience building backend applications with .NET Core
  • Strong capability in ASP.NET implementation and service design
  • Solid understanding of microservices, REST APIs and integration patterns
  • Proficiency with Angular or React for modern frontend development
  • Experience designing schemas for relational and NoSQL databases
  • Hands‑on exposure to AWS or Azure, plus strong knowledge of Kafka or similar event‑driven architectures
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, monitoring tools and secure coding practices
  • The ability to work effectively on critical customer‑facing features and estimate development effort accurately
A willingness to learn the healthcare payments domain – which is complex and highly regulated – will be essential.
