Your new role

• Design, develop, program, and maintain automated control systems
• Configure and support PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, and industrial networks
• Troubleshoot and resolve automation, control, and instrumentation faults
• Optimise production processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and safety
• Lead or support automation projects from concept through to commissioning
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams
• Implement continuous improvement and standardisation initiatives
• Ensure systems comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Controls Engineering, or a related discipline
• Proven experience in industrial automation or control systems engineering
• Strong hands‑on experience with PLC programming (e.g. Siemens, Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley, Schneider, Omron)
• Experience with SCADA, HMI, and industrial control software
• Knowledge of industrial networks and communication protocols (e.g. Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet, Modbus)
• Understanding of instrumentation, sensors, actuators, and control panels
• Experience commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting automated systems
• Familiarity with safety standards and functional safety (e.g. machine safety, SIL, risk assessments)
