A leading Australian energy infrastructure organisation is preparing for a significant period of growth and is seeking multiple environmental professionals to support a diverse pipeline of upcoming projects.

Your new role

  • Support ideation, pre-feasibility, and feasibility phases of development projects by providing strategic Native Title advice.
  • Assess land access strategies and feasibility with a focus on Native Title considerations.
  • Contribute to the design of innovative Native Title strategies to support competitive project development.
  • Provide guidance on tenure and statutory approval requirements related to Native Title.
  • Advise on feasibility, schedule, and cost implications of Native Title processes across business units.
  • Ensure compliance with Native Title legislation, regulatory obligations, and governance requirements.
  • Monitor changes in Native Title law and policy, and support implementation of mitigating strategies.
  • Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and budgeting for Native Title workstreams.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of forecasts and cost reports related to Native Title.
  • Optimise resources to meet cost constraints and enhance project outcomes.
  • Identify, schedule, and manage Native Title workstreams for development projects, including oversight of consultants.
  • Conduct assessments and provide advice on sound Native Title management practices across project phases.
  • Lead or support negotiations with Traditional Owner groups to secure Native Title agreements and manage existing agreements.
  • Engage with landowners, customers, and government departments to secure access and tenure rights.
  • Liaise with State and Federal departments for approvals, permits, and licenses related to Native Title.
  • Contribute to the preparation and review of project documentation to ensure alignment with Native Title obligations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Traditional Owner groups and other key stakeholders.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal teams to align Native Title strategies with broader project goals.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience delivering Native Title outcomes to support land access for energy infrastructure projects, including both linear and site-based developments.
  • Strong understanding of Native Title legislation, regulatory frameworks, and tenure arrangements relevant to project development.
  • Effective negotiation and collaboration skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with Traditional Owner groups, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and a focus on compliance and risk management in Native Title processes.
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills, particularly in culturally sensitive contexts.
  • Ability to manage consultants and coordinate internal resources to support Native Title agreement-making and approvals.
  • Organised and safety-conscious approach, working within relevant policies, procedures, and cultural protocols.
  • Skilled in using systems and tools (e.g. GIS) to support Native Title tracking, documentation, and reporting.
  • Current C Class driver's license and willingness to travel for remote engagement and on-country meetings
