Your new company
This highly reputable company is seeking an Accountant to join their team to cover a period of maternity leave. You will be joining a small but highly efficient finance team, and once the current employee returns, there may still be ongoing requirements that could allow the contract to be extended.
Your new role
Depending on your experience, the role may vary, but the responsibilities will include the following, not limited to:
- Processing Payroll for 80 salaried staff on a monthly basis, and a handful of casuals on a fortnightly basis.
- Oversee and check the finance assistant's work to ensure all invoices are entered correctly, and then you will process all the bank payments.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Assist with month end duties.
- Assist with the P&L, Cashflow, Balance sheet reconciliations and additional financial reporting by the CFO.
- Additional Adhoc duties
*As noted, if you have financial reporting and can lead these processes, this will free up time for the CFO and they will allow you to do so. However, this is not essential.
What you'll need to succeed
- Immediately available
- Have experience processing payroll
- Have Xero experience
- Strong attention to detail
- If you have financial reporting and month end experience this is advantageous to your application but is not essential.
- CA or CPA qualification is not essential.
