Data Engineer

Seeking an experienced Data Engineer to play an important role in taking ownership of a product.

Our client is a recognised ASX 200 company dealing in integrated services operating across Australia and New Zealand.

Your new role

You’ll design and manage data architecture, pipelines, and governance to ensure quality, security, and performance. Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and oversee end-to-end data architecture solutions.
  • Develop governance frameworks for automation, audits, and data quality.
  • Build and maintain data models and warehouses.
  • Optimise database performance and ensure data accuracy.
  • Proficient in Python and SQL.
  • Apply best practices in data governance, quality, and security.
  • Maintain Power BI tenant and gateway.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

What you'll need to succeed


As an expert in Data Engineering, you’ll need to have:

• Advanced SQL for optimisation in Databricks.
• Hands-on Azure Databricks for large-scale processing.
• Skilled in Azure Data Factory, SSIS, SSAS.
• Strong Python for data transformation and automation.
• Experience with CI/CD using Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of Medallion architecture and data modelling best practices.
• Familiarity with cloud security, networking, and automation.
• Exposure to Databricks, PySpark, and Azure services.
