Your new role
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Lead and develop the payroll team in completing end-to-end payroll processing.
- Oversee accurate and timely payroll for staff across multiple enterprise agreements and common law contracts.
- Ensure compliance with awards, enterprise agreements, and relevant legislation.
- Ensure the team accurately processes payroll in a timely manner and adhere to payroll compliance legislation.
- Implement discipline and structure within payroll processes to reduce risk.
- Collaborate with People & Culture to align payroll operations with organisational goals.
- Provide hands-on support while balancing leadership responsibilities.
- Lead systems implementation and automation projects.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience leading payroll teams, ideally within the education sector.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise agreements and awards.
- Hands-on approach with the ability to roll up your sleeves when needed.
- Flexible and adaptable, open to doing things differently to achieve results.
- Excellent communication and soft skills to engage and develop a relatively new team.
- You must have ichris / chris21 experience.
