Procurement Specialist

Our Government client is looking for a Procurement Specialist to help with a new project.

Your new role

  • Manage end-to-end tender processes from concept through to contract execution.
  • Provide expert commercial and procurement advice, ensuring probity and compliance.
  • Develop business cases, briefing notes, and Board reports to support decision-making.
  • Liaise with legal, financial, and probity advisors during contract formation and negotiation.
  • Support contract managers throughout the contract lifecycle and ensure smooth handovers.
  • Lead policy development and continuous improvement in tendering and contract management.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to build strong working relationships.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A relevant degree or industry certification with proven experience in procurement and tender processes.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to influence outcomes.
  • Extensive experience in government tendering and a detailed understanding of purchasing processes.
  • Advanced analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong attention to detail.
