Your new role
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessments, monitoring, and administering treatments.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor and document patient responses to treatments and medications.
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
- Advocate for patient rights and provide emotional support.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
- Perform nursing procedures such as wound care, injections, and IV therapy.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Contribute to health promotion and disease prevention efforts in the community.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary team.
- Take a leadership role in coordinating nursing and healthcare, practising independently and interdependently, and delegating care to enroled nurses and healthcare workers.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Bachelor of Nursing or Higher
APHRA Registration
Current valid Driving Licence
Current Working with Children Check
Satisfactory Police Records Check
Right to Work in Australia
Level 2 First Aid & CPR
NDIS Worker orientation module
NDIS Worker screening check
