Your new role
The client is seeking an experienced Information Management Specialist to lead strategic initiatives in records and information management. This senior-level role is pivotal in modernising the department’s systems and processes, with a strong focus on digital transformation and legislative compliance.
Accountabilities
- Lead the implementation of the department’s Digital & Technology Strategy
- Drive automation and modernisation of records management processes
- Oversee the disposal project, addressing a 15-year backlog of undestroyed hard copy records
- Manage and optimise the use of Trim (legacy records management system)
- Ensure compliance with relevant public sector legislation and standards
- Provide expert guidance on records governance, retention, and disposal policies
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve information workflows and system efficiency
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in records and information management, ideally in the public sector
- Strong working knowledge of records legislation and compliance frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to lead digital transformation initiatives
- Experience with legacy systems such as Trim
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
