Our State Government client is seeking assistance from an experienced Payroll Officer. This is a temporary 3-month contract.
Your new role
- End-to-end payroll processing for a large and diverse workforce.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with industrial instruments.
- Calculate and process leave entitlements, superannuation, and deductions.
- Prepare and lodge payroll tax, PAYG, and other statutory obligations.
- Respond promptly to payroll queries from employees and stakeholders.
- Assist with payroll audits and reporting requirements.
- Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in payroll processing within a medium to large organisation.
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide clear advice to employees.
- Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
