Your new role

  • Join a dynamic contact centre team as a Customer Service Representative

  • Deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers

  • Act as a key liaison between the public, stakeholders, and the Council department

  • Provide feedback and suggest process improvements to enhance customer experience

  • Help maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge bases, procedures, and database content

  • Collaborate with Customer Experience Officers and the Corporate Customer Experience Coordinator

  • Embrace challenges and opportunities with enthusiasm and adaptability

What you'll need to succeed

  • Demonstrated experience in a call centre role

  • Previous experience in a government-based call centre — highly valued

  • Proven customer service skills in a contact centre environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage and deescalate challenging situations

  • Effective research skills and quick learning of Council operations

  • Proficient in computer software — data entry, spreadsheets, and internal systems

  • Self-motivated team player with a continuous improvement mindset
