An integral Federal Government Department with approximately 1000 staff members, who support the functions and provide essential services to one of our nation's most important buildings. The Property Services Division is seeking several APS6 and EL1 professionals to join the newly established Fire Compliance and Building Services Taskforce.
Your new role
Reporting to the Assistant Secretary, this taskforce will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the iconic buildings' maintenance and renewal strategy. The Taskforce will:
- Work closely with all parts of the Departments, particularly across Finance and Property Services, to formulate a strategic vision or Master Plan for ongoing maintenance into the future.
- Develop and deliver options to the Government for funding for a large-scale multi-year capital works program
- Lead the development and consultation of the budget proposal
- Provide governance and coordination across the department with external stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
Candidates should demonstrate expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Stakeholder engagement and communications, including complex strategy development and implementation.
- Government capital works, strategy, and policy proposals.
- Project governance and coordination, including best practice project management, evaluation, and reporting.
Additionally,
- Proven expertise in project management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships
- Experience working in a similar role in a government environment
- You must be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) Security Clearance.
