Your new role
As a Data Analyst, you’ll work onsite in a 12-month contract role supporting a series of high-priority infrastructure reform and systems initiatives. You’ll partner with business stakeholders to source, clean, and integrate large datasets into reporting and planning tools. Projects include asset audit reconciliation, lifecycle planning for relocatable infrastructure, quality assurance of accommodation capacity data, and the development of an asset health dashboard. You’ll also play a key role in uplifting data governance and capability across the division.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Experience handling large, complex datasets (1M+ records), including unstructured data
  • Advanced skills in Excel, SQL Server, Power BI, Power Query, MS Access, and SharePoint
  • Strong data cleaning, structuring, and automation capabilities
  • Understanding of data governance, privacy, and secure environments—ideally within government
  • Ability to build structured registers, lightweight databases, and repeatable reporting tools
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant ICT field (postgraduate qualifications desirable)
  • Willingness to complete a police clearance and onsite Excel test
