Your new role
As the Finance Systems Lead, you’ll provide strategic oversight and drive continuous improvement of financial management systems, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and operational efficiency. You’ll manage the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, maintain robust internal controls, and lead system enhancements in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
This role sits within the Finance team, part of the broader Finance business unit, which is responsible for investment operations, management accounting, budgeting and forecasting, payables and receipts, financial reporting, contracts and procurement and tax. The business unit also partners with tax, actuary and audit consultants who provide assurance and advice to improve outputs where appropriate.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic implementation and management of the ERP system
- Oversee financial system integrity, user access, and security settings
- Manage vendor relationships and service agreements
- Champion system development and enhancement initiatives
- Design and implement robust internal controls
- Lead system upgrades, testing, documentation, and training
- Deliver training and support to system users
- Prepare high-quality internal and external reporting
- Stay up to date with relevant legislation, standards, and best practices
What you'll need to succeed
- Tertiary qualification in accounting or a related discipline
- Minimum three years’ experience in a similar role within the superannuation and/or financial services sectors
- Strong knowledge of accounting systems (Oracle or TechnologyOne highly desirable)
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Proven ability to lead system upgrades and drive continuous improvement
