Your new role

As the Data Technical Manager – Classification Development Analytics, you will support the Senior Lead in delivering the agency’s classification development work program. You’ll design and refine statistical models that underpin activity-based funding classifications, analyse complex health and aged care data, and contribute to policy development. The role involves technical research, stakeholder engagement, and presenting findings to advisory bodies and leadership.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualifications in mathematics, statistics, econometrics, or data model design
• Experience in statistical analysis, actuarial science, or model development
• Proficiency in SAS, SQL, VBA, or Python
• Strong analytical and technical skills
• Understanding of activity-based funding and clinical classifications
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Capacity to work independently and make informed decisions
• Strategic thinking and knowledge of relevant policy frameworks
