Our client is looking for an experienced Contract Manager to join their team on a 6-month short-term temporary contract with the possibility of extension.

Your new role

• Oversees high-risk contracts to ensure delivery aligns with agreed terms, pricing, milestones, and performance standards.

• Monitors and reports on contract compliance, including managing disputes and maintaining effective relationships.

• Supports the business in applying procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines.

• Assists in developing and improving procurement and contract management frameworks.

• Conducts business planning and scopes projects, identifying new contract opportunities and renewal strategies.

• Builds and maintains strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to foster collaboration and resolve complex issues.

• Provides expert advice on contract planning, development, and risk mitigation.

• Guides teams on compliance and risk management activities related to contracts.

• Delivers presentations and training to raise awareness of procurement processes and ensure alignment with government and agency policies.

• Mentors and coaches team members to build capability in contract and procurement management.

What you'll need to succeed

• Skilled in planning, forming, and managing complex contracts and procurement activities, including mentoring team members.

• Strong ability to prepare complex documentation, consult across sectors, and negotiate tenders and contracts effectively.

• Capable of researching, analysing, and developing procurement policies and process improvements.

• Proficient in identifying and managing procurement-related risks and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

• Knowledge of government procurement frameworks including the Procurement Act 2020 and WA Procurement Rules.
