Your new role

Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Site Coordinator will play an essential role in overseeing daily site operations for commercial projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior professional with a trade background—particularly in carpentry or related fields—who is ready to take the next step into a more supervisory role. The position combines hands-on knowledge with leadership responsibilities, offering a clear pathway into site management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure site safety and compliance with all HSEQ and legislative requirements
  • Manage site establishment and project setup
  • Coordinate day-to-day site operations, logistics, and resources
  • Interpret and follow construction drawings, specifications, and schedules
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Use building software (e.g., HammerTech) for compliance and documentation
  • Assist with planning, quality control, and safety procedures
  • Report and resolve site issues to maintain efficiency and safety

What you'll need to succeed

This role would suit someone who has hands-on experience in construction and is eager to move into a more structured leadership role. Ideal candidates will have:
  • A background in carpentry or similar trade
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Building and Construction
  • White Card and current First Aid certificate
  • Experience on commercial sites (fit-outs/refurbishments preferred)
  • Solid understanding of WHS practices and site documentation
  • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn
  • Strong organizational skills and an eye for detail
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset
