Your new role

As a Senior Cyber Analyst, you’ll be at the forefront of cyber uplift and resilience efforts. You’ll lead the delivery of key security projects, including the enhancement of Essential Eight maturity and the deployment of new technologies to strengthen threat detection and response. Working within a small, agile team, you’ll collaborate with technical specialists and senior stakeholders to ensure compliance, drive strategic outcomes, and embed security into the organisation’s digital DNA.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in cyber operations, including threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management
• Strong project delivery skills, with familiarity across PRINCE2, Agile, and tools like Jira, Confluence, Visio, and Microsoft Project
• Hands-on knowledge of security platforms such as Sentinel, SIEM, PAM, SOC, and endpoint protection
• Understanding of ACSC Essential Eight and Queensland Government frameworks (e.g., IS18:2022)
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment, balancing technical depth with strategic thinking
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and drive change
• Prior experience in government or regulated environments is essential
