We are currently seeking flexible individuals to join our team as Community Crisis Workers at our 24/7 facility. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals experiencing crisis, providing vital support and care when it’s needed most.

Your new role

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Meeting client needs in the least restrictive way possible;
• Completing clear and factual handover notes and incident reports;
• Mentoring clients and assisting them to develop independent living skills;
• Assisting the client in problem-solving, conflict resolution and relapse reduction;
• Managing complex and challenging client behaviours (including aggressive behaviours);

What you'll need to succeed

• To be a successful candidate, it is a mandate to meet the following criteria:
• Homelessness support sector or related field
• Always ensure confidentiality of client information
• Certificate III in Community Services or related field
• Effective communication and time management skills
• Ability to work unsupervised at times as well as an effective team member
• At least one (1) year of experience as a Support or Crisis Worker or equivalent

We are looking for a number of casual Crisis Support Workers in Mackay. The organisation runs a 24/7 facility; therefore, applicants must have availability and flexibility to work across 24/7 roster.
