We are recruiting on behalf of a leading commercial bakery seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join their onsite maintenance and engineering team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in food manufacturing environments, who can work independently and contribute to the upkeep and improvement of production equipment.

Your new role

• Fabrication and welding of stainless steel components for food-grade machinery
• Maintenance and repair of bakery equipment including ovens, conveyors, mixers, hoppers, and frames
• TIG and MIG welding on stainless and mild steel
• Modifying and fabricating guards, brackets, trays, and structural supports
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and fabrication specs
• Working closely with maintenance and production teams to minimise downtime
• Ensuring all work meets hygiene and safety standards for food production

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven welding/fabrication experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• TIG welding experience with stainless steel (essential)
• Experience working in food or FMCG environments (highly regarded)
• Ability to work autonomously and manage tasks efficiently
• Trade qualification in welding or fabrication preferred
• Strong understanding of safety and hygiene standards in food production
