Your new role

As the Engineering Manager, you will be the lead technical authority, reporting directly to the Project Director. You’ll oversee a multidisciplinary engineering effort, ensuring all technical outputs meet project requirements and comply with relevant standards. This role will evolve to include managing a growing engineering team as the project progresses.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing engineering support and client-side feedback to design providers.
Ensuring compliance with internal engineering standards and Australian guidelines.
Reviewing and validating designs to ensure they are fit for purpose.
Preparing technical reports, specifications, cost estimates, and tender documentation.
Coordinating engineering reviews and trade-off studies.
Managing internal and external resources to support design feedback.
Leading procurement interactions to ensure correct asset specifications.
Building and managing the internal engineering team as required.

What you'll need to succeed

A formal tertiary qualification in engineering.
Over 10 years’ experience in project-based engineering (owners team experience preferred).
Proven experience in materials handling facilities (experience with port facilities advantageous).
Strong leadership in managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Expertise in front-end engineering design and technical project delivery.
