Your new role

- Following up overdue accounts to ensure timely cash collection
- Applying finance charges for overdue balances
- Managing prepayment schemes and reconciling customer deposits
- Allocating payments against debtor ledgers
- Distributing automated customer statements monthly
- Preparing debtor ageing and overdue account reports
- Bank reconciliations and ensuring AR balances reconcile to GL
- Assessing and setting customer credit limits
- Working with customers and sales team to resolve overdue accounts
- Evaluating new account applications using credit checks and reports
- Supporting the company’s working capital position and trade finance facility
- Continuous improvement of AR processes to enhance efficiency

What you'll need to succeed

- Demonstrated experience in full function Accounts Receivable
- Expertise in cash collection for SME businesses
- Ability to be self-sufficient in producing AR reports.
- Strong systems skills, notably NetSuite or other ERPs
- Ability to manage customer relationships professionally
- Solid knowledge of AR processes, credit risk management, and legal debt recovery procedures.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills
