Hays are proud to be working with a leading Tasmanian brand in their search for a Financial Accountant to join their team on a 5-month contract basis. With a state-wide presence, they have a head office in southern Tasmania and are well known for being an excellent place to work.

Your new role

Due to upcoming leave, this has created the opportunity for a senior financial accountant to join the team on a 5-month contract basis. Working with a team of qualified Accountants, you’ll be involved in the reporting of projects, Monthly Management Reporting, Financial Accounting, and other ad hoc reporting as required. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll be an integral part of the finance team and work with a high level of autonomy.

What you'll need to succeed

A self-starter, you’ll ideally be degree qualified, and either be CA/CPA qualified or currently studying towards your qualification. You’ll have demonstrated experience in a similar role or within public practice. With a dedication to continuous improvement, you will be financially savvy with advanced Excel skills. Your excellent communication skills will be underpinned by strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities through which you can demonstrate good judgement and financial acumen. You’ll enjoy working with a team, liaising with various stakeholders across the business and enjoy working with a high level of autonomy.

Prior to commencement, you’ll need to undergo a national police check.
