Your new role
As the Property and Leasing Coordinator, you will be entrusted with the strategic and operational oversight of a multi-billion-dollar property portfolio that includes community centres, parks, carparks, and commercial assets. This is a dynamic and hands-on role where no two days are the same.
Proactively managing leasing and licensing agreements to ensure compliance, optimise asset performance, and deliver strong community and financial outcomes.
Leading complex commercial negotiations and ensuring all agreements align with legislative requirements such as the Local Government Act, Retail Leases Act, and Crown Land (Reserves) Act.
Coordinating road discontinuance transactions and overseeing property-related projects from inception through to implementation.
Conducting in-depth research and analysis to support business cases and strategic decision-making.
Providing expert advice to internal stakeholders, tenants, and external partners on a wide range of property matters.
Maintaining and enhancing data integrity within the Property Management System (Planon).
Contributing to the continuous improvement of property management frameworks, policies, and procedures.

What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you will bring a blend of technical expertise, commercial acumen, and a collaborative mindset. Specifically, you will have:
A relevant tertiary qualification and/or significant experience in property management, leasing, acquisitions, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated success in managing complex property portfolios, ideally within a government or infrastructure-focused environment.
Strong working knowledge of relevant legislation and the ability to apply it confidently in a practical setting.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Proven experience in negotiating and managing property agreements, with a focus on achieving balanced commercial and community outcomes.
High-level analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.
Experience in road discontinuance processes within a government context will be highly regarded.
