Hays Recruitment has partnered with a leading service provider who has an exciting opportunity for an experienced duty manager to join their team on a permanent basis, working in a healthcare setting. This role will be located in Footscray.
Your new role
Act as the first point of contact for operational issues during out-of-hours.
Duties will include:
- Supervise hospital operations after hours, overseeing cleaning and patient support staff.
- Serve as the on-site point of contact during emergencies, coordinating responses and escalating when needed.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and functionality standards are met.
- Collaborate with internal teams and contractors to resolve urgent issues, maintain detailed shift reports and handover notes, and support both planned and reactive tasks with minimal disruption.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures, while managing staff and services during out-of-hours periods.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a healthcare setting
- Must be able to commit to full-time night shift hours.
- Previous experience leading a team
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Skilled in Microsoft Office with strong overall IT proficiency.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations.
- National police check, working with children check, COVID vaccination & flu vaccination
