A leading organisation in the private sector is looking for a Systems Engineer to join their technology team in Launceston.

Your new role

• Design, deploy and support enterprise-level systems and infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
• Implement and maintain security protocols, backups, and disaster recovery plans.
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams.
• Lead system upgrades, patching, and configuration changes.
• Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to deliver IT solutions.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in systems administration (Windows environments).
• Strong knowledge of networking, virtualisation (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA) are highly regarded.
