Our local government organisation based in Ballarat is seeking a professional and highly organised Executive Assistant to support a Director-level executive. This is a temporary assignment for 6 weeks, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced and dynamic public sector environment.
Your new role
As the Executive Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-level administrative support to a senior executive. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing complex calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating appointments
Preparing correspondence, reports, and briefing documents
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the Director
Organising travel arrangements and processing expenses
Supporting the delivery of key projects and initiatives
Handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar senior administrative role
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment
Experience in government or public sector settings (highly desirable)
