• Assist with the identification, development and implementation of integrated strategies, policies, legislation and programs that reflect diverse stakeholder perspectives.
• Undertake complex policy analysis and provide strategic advice to support planning, reporting and governance priorities.
• Prepare high-quality, well-researched submissions, briefs and reports on emerging and complex issues.
• Represent the team in meetings and forums, contributing to cross-agency collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
• Provide confidential secretariat support for governance boards and committees, ensuring efficient and effective operations.

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong understanding of and experience in government policy and strategic development, including the ability to analyse complex issues and apply sound judgement in ambiguous environments.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver clear, evidence-based advice supported by diverse viewpoints, including customer and stakeholder perspectives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality documentation and engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes, and contribute to a positive team culture.
• A qualification in public policy, law or a related discipline will be highly regarded, along with experience in Cabinet and Parliamentary processes or legislation review.
