A well-established mechanical services business is seeking a mid-level HVAC Estimator to support its growing pipeline of work. Specialising in commercial refrigeration—from cool rooms to blast freezers and supermarket systems—alongside air conditioning and mechanical services, this contractor offers a supportive, close-knit team culture and a no-frills office space located above a busy supplies warehouse.
Your new role
As the HVAC Estimator, you’ll be responsible for preparing accurate tenders and cost estimates across a range of refrigeration and HVAC projects. You’ll work closely with project managers, suppliers, and clients to ensure competitive pricing and timely submissions.
• Estimate and tender for HVAC and refrigeration projects including cool rooms, blast freezers, and supermarket systems• Interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and scope documents
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
• Assist with project handovers and cost tracking
• Collaborate with the delivery team to ensure scope alignment
• Maintain estimating systems and documentation
What you'll need to succeed
• Experience estimating HVAC and refrigeration projects in commercial environments
• Strong understanding of air conditioning systems and mechanical services
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tender documentation
• Trade background in HVAC or refrigeration is highly regarded
• Excellent attention to detail and stakeholder communication skills
• Eager to grow within a fast-moving, family-style business
