Your new company

This Federal Government agency is undergoing significant reform in the aged care sector, introducing a new regulatory model under legislation commencing 1 November 2025. As part of this transformation, a dedicated Provider Registration function has been established to manage the entry and ongoing registration of aged care service providers.

Your new role

As a Senior Assessor (APS6 equivalent), you will be part of the Provider Registration team responsible for assessing applications from entities seeking to deliver aged care services. You will also manage renewals, variations, and apply registration conditions in line with the agency’s regulatory strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
• Assessing provider registration applications using case management systems.
• Ensuring consistency and compliance with legislative timeframes.
• Engaging with providers to clarify requirements and gather evidence.
• Coaching junior staff and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Driving continuous improvement and innovation within the registration process.
• Preparing high-quality reports to support regulatory decision-making.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience in regulatory, compliance, or audit environments.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret legislation and apply policy frameworks.
• Proficiency in case management systems and documentation standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Current driving licence and willingness to travel if required.
• Completion of the Quality Assessor Training Program (or willingness to complete within 6 months).
