Based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, the business offers a wide range of gear and accessories, spanning over 2,000 SKUs and expanding rapidly through both eCommerce and physical retail channels. The business combines expert product knowledge with a customer-first approach, leveraging platforms like Shopify to deliver seamless shopping experiences and drive national growth.


Your new role

They are seeking a commercially driven and visionary Head of Retail/eCommerce l to lead and scale their recently launched multichannel retail operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational performance of the retail and eCommerce divisions, ensuring alignment with the company’s ambitious growth targets. This includes driving performance across physical retail (bricks-and-mortar) and direct-to-consumer eCommerce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute the retail and eCommerce strategy, including the development and execution of go-to-market strategies to drive growth across all channels.
  • Spearhead entry and growth into big-box retail environments
  • Manage a growing product portfolio
  • Ensure seamless integration of digital and physical retail experiences
  • Lead campaign creation, SEO strategy, and sales initiatives across platforms
  • Leverage Shopify and other digital tools to optimise product/category management and data-driven decision-making
  • Monitor and manage P&L performance, budgets, and KPIs across all retail functions.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in senior retail and eCommerce leadership roles
  • Proven track record in scaling retail and digital operations, ideally within the automotive, outdoor, or lifestyle sectors
  • Experience working with or within large-format retailers and omnichannel environments
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate strategy into execution
  • A deep understanding of product data, specifications, and category management, auto/manufacturing/RV space would be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional teams and driving cultural alignment
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify, SEO, and digital campaign execution
