This prominent authority within the Victorian State Government is seeking a Senior Strategic and Corporate Communications Advisor to lead and support the planning, coordination and implementation of priority communications, advertising, key events, engagement and change activities. You will be part of a cross-functional team and bring specialist skills in communications to lead the delivery of key functions end to end, while also collaborating with and supporting the team. You will deliver communications products that make use of innovative approaches, accessible communications principles, and support the strategic objectives of the organisation. A main function of the role is to use a variety of platforms to develop, deliver and evaluate communications activities, including webinars, content development, newsletters, websites, as well as social media and media management that builds knowledge and leverages platform capabilities to identify efficiencies and improve outcomes. This role will run until 31st December, working out of their CBD office 3 days per week.

What you'll need to succeed

• Background in State, Local or Federal government is essential
• Strong internal stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to lead communications projects with a strategic lens is necessary
• Experience managing external agency providers (e.g. creative, digital, media)
• Proven experience producing webinars and other events is desirable
