HAYS has partnered with one of Australia's leading manufacturers of high-quality, eco-friendly and efficient engines and drive systems who also supply globally. They partner with well-known names such as Volvo, Linde, Vermeer, Hitachi and more. Our client has secured a new location with a BRAND-NEW facility in Wacol, Brisbane QLD, and they are looking for Diesel Fitters to join their team and will be a part of their growing facility and community in Wacol.

Your new role
As our client's new Diesel Fitter, your duties will include but not limited to:

• Perform general servicing and repair diesel-powered equipment and associated machinery across diverse industries
• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend asset life
• Assist in refurbishment of equipment and ensure the work performed is compliant with safety and industry standards.
• Utilise diagnostic tools to accurately detect and resolve any mechanical faults
• Commit to delivering exceptional customer satisfaction and build rapport with long-term and new clients
• Actively engage in on-site training with industry advancements
• Maintain meticulous records of service history, workplace procedures and factory documentation

• Hold a trade Cert III in Engineering – Diesel Fitter/Mechanic or equivalent
• Previous post-trade experience or previous experience with Diesel engines and equipment
• Any additional trade certificates in automotive or mechanical
• Previous experience in management or leadership is highly regarded.

• Be part of the first employed team at a brand-new facility
