Your new role

This temp-to-perm Payroll Specialist role is a critical part of the payroll team, responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing across multiple entities in the ANZ region.

Key responsibilities include:

  • End-to-end payroll processing for ~500 employees across 5 entities
  • Ensuring compliance with payroll legislation and internal policies
  • Interpreting and applying relevant awards (e.g., Clerks Award, Road Transport Award)
  • Preparing and validating payroll data sheets for uploads
  • Collaborating with ADP managed services for payroll execution
  • Conducting system testing to ensure payroll accuracy
  • Supporting reporting and reconciliation activities
  • Maintaining confidentiality and high accuracy standards

What you’ll need to succeed

  • At least 5 years of payroll experience in a complex, multi-entity environment
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas)
  • Experience with ADP systems (especially PayGlobal) is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to interpret awards and enterprise agreements
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of payroll legislation in both Australia and New Zealand
